Reviews of Am I a Good Daddy?:

"I read your book, Am I a Good Daddy, and loved the acronym "FAMILY MAN." I enjoyed reading it tremendously. I will no doubt, read it again. I not only learned about you but I learned how to be a good dad. I could relate in a number of places. One such story/acknowledgment came in the first chapter, page three, when you spoke of Vern and Brian. My earthly father was my mentor. I loved and respected that man with everything that I had. He was a man's man. (He is with Jesus and mom now.)

He taught me how to be a man and by his example I learned how to be a dad. My dad was a very trustworthy man, like you talk about on page 45. To me trustworthiness and respect are the two most important traits of a man, let alone of a father.

I also liked your "daddy action" portions. So many authors tell of the problems, and thats a good thing because we can't fix anything until we define the problem. However, with daddy action, you give a solution, and with that solution you give the Scriptural standard for that action. The Bible is the standard by which we should all live our lives. Your book shows me that you believe this as well and that it is also your standard. Kudos. Thanks for writing this book."

I really enjoyed reading both "It Wasn't Just a Job; It Was an Adventure" and "American Sailor". I caught myself laughing hysterically at some of the stories.

Was visiting a friend and happened to see both books by Donald Johnson. When I started to read them, I couldn't put them down and ended up taking them home to finish.
